HOLY FUCK IT SAYS ITEM LOCATION IN RALEIGH NORTH CAROLINA. I mean I'm pretty sure the auction isn't legit, but the last bidder was someone with a ton of feedback, which makes it even more confusing to me. I just can't believe that there was a NWC sitting somewhere near me in Raleigh fuckin North Carolina. I'm also about to just go back and read through this whole thread lol

Better than storing it "loose" collecting dust, LOL!

Well that confirms it. There are apparently more gray NWCs in existence than just the 90 carts presumably given out to contest winners.

We've know for years that it was more than 90. That's just some internet legend shit.

Did the bidder try to come up with any sort of excuse?

Highest number I've seen is 343, and I'm pretty sure that one also originated from a Nintendo employee and not a semi-finalist. Has anyone discovered a higher number?

Claimed their 2 year old placed the bid without their knowledge.

Color me ignorant, but if there is one numbered 343, wouldn't that mean there are at least 343 originally out there, minus any that were destroyed or lost?

I've always assumed there were 350 - 400 manufactured. I also believe the 24 NWC Gold's were part of the 350-400 made and the grey carts were destroyed.

Some how their 2 year signed into their ebay acct, clicked bid, entered an amount above the current bid, hit review, then bid? BS. I wish I could beat the crap out of that looser.
