I was wondering if there are any sought after VHS tapes that might be worth some decent money? I have come across quite a few sealed VHS tapes along with many other complete VHS tapes, normally for around $0.25-$0.50. I was wondering if any of these are worth buying to resell.

I hear the VHS "Sneak Peek at Pokemon" is supposed to be worth some cash, only 1000 made I heard, most of which are probably destroyed. I own one I got for a buck at a thrift store. First exposure of Americans to Pokemon, given out as part of a pre-launch word of mouth campaign.

I dunno about VHS but Split Second starring Rutger Huer fetches a 100 bucks easily on DVD due to a very limited print run.

When I was hunting down older movies about billiards/pool, I found out the hard way that some of these can be pricey. Take The Baltimore Bullet for example:

The price on this has come down from around $80 a few years ago to $15-$40 range now. When I first tried to find Kiss Shot (w/Whoopi Goldberg), it was the same thing. Now you can get that movie for $1 + s/h.

Depending on the event, old wrestling ppv's can bring some money.

I've heard that some of the superhero movies can be worth a bit of money on VHS... but I've never hunted or tracked them to confirm it.

Training tapes from Nintendo can be worth some money to crazy people like Otto and myself. Many of the training binders distributed by Nintendo included VHS tapes with information, role playing activities, and commercials. They don't show up very often by themselves, normally they are included with a binder, but ya never know. I have some old VHS tapes as well with promos and commercials from the early to mid 90's from Sega and Atari as well.

Yep there are definetly some rare VHS movies. Stuff like RAD that never has seen DVD release for some strange reason? Also as said above some of the foreign release only horror movies especially exploitation stuff get very expensive. I'd just do a search on the bay with VHS in the title and search completed auctions at highest price first.
I've converted over 1,000's of my VHS to DVD and I still have about 100 VHS that I can't find on DVD.

Snow White Live at the Radio City Music Hall, but I'm sure each of you own a copy. This video single handedly opened up my heart to the beautiful and culture-transcending world of Broadway and Barbara Streisand.

That Gore Whore movie isn't the most expensive tape that I've seen- there are a few that can sell for $300 or more when they show up. Gore Whore is probably a SOV film (shot on video)- amateur filmmakers who manage to find a distributor for their film. The distributor is usually a tiny, local one that didn't distribute the film very far/wide so it tends to be hard to find. Not to mention nearly all of the ones that I've seen are various degrees of terrible.
