Oye!

So.... I'm entering a stage where the infamous it-will-never-ever-ever-happen collection tool is in a usable form and now I need some very dedicated peeps to run it through some Beta testing. Brian Parker (bunnyboy) has helped with Alpha

Tester Requirements:

1. 30-45+ minutes per day of your time for two weeks, starting Monday November 9th. Please, if you have commitment issues (you know who you are! , please do not ask to be part of this. The sooner this is tested, the sooner everyone will get to use it. That means if you drop the ball, it gets dropped for all users

2. You'll need at least 2 different browsers.

3. You'll need the ability (and know how) to take screenshots.

4. You'll need to know how to post images to a private topic here on NA.

5. You'll need to know how to purge your browser cookies and cache.

Desired Traits We're Looking for:

1. A fundamental desire to break shit -- if it can be broken, it's not done!

2. A desire to explore. We need you to try all avenues for testing, thinking outside of the box.

3. A pragmatical view of things -- we need people to point out what could be done better and/or differently for better results.

4. An ability to describe what you did to get from point A to point B.

To be considered, please list the following (it will help us pick a wider spectrum of users to ensure we cover all bases):

Operating system and version:
Browser 1 name and version:
Browser 2 name and version:
Any hand-held/mobile devices? If yes, list model, OS and browser info:

Lastly, if you aren't picked, don't take it personally. I'm going to try and choose a wide scope of the above criteria to best help everyone.

-Dain

So Brian Parker at RetroZone (Bunnyboy) was asking me the other day (ok, yesterday) about making a tool that he could use to buy stuff on eBay to allow NA to get a small commission from what he was planning to purchase anyway (servers aren't free! I'd been meaning to get to this for a while now, and whipped up something quick to allow anyone planning on going to eBay anyway to help us in the process by "jumping" there through us.

For example, are you planning on hitting a BIN on an item? Why not enter the item number, here:

http://www.nintendoage.com/erma

...and help us out? We've kept ads to a bare minimum on NA and try not to ask for much, and this was something you were planning on doing anyway.

I asked Brian to name the tool and he quickly replied, "Erma." So Erma it is.

We've also added a search engine to the bottom frame as well as a quick platform browser at the top. I know it's not much, but it might be good for anyone looking for something quickly without having to leave NA.

-Dain
