I've been wanting to get into the homebrew scene for a while, but my creative genius is limited. It seems like everyone does side scrolling games, or one-screen mini games.

I've thought about maybe doing an adventure game like Kings Quest V. I would really like to get some input. What would YOU like to see in a new/original NES game. If I can find enough time to dedicate to the project, I'd like to put something really good together.

I will say that this probably won't be my first effort as I am still just learning to program for the NES, however, a large project like this will take a lot of planning/resources and I'd like to start getting organized asap.

I've recently gotten some Sega Master 3-D glasses, and when I plug them in they work... sort of?

They seem to flicker in both eyes of the glasses, but when I wear them they don't make the correct 3-D effect in the game. I can still clearly see everything split apart. I was using a Sega Master Power Base Adaptor on my Sega Genesis, and on a Flatscreen TV. Would any of these cause this problem? Are the glasses just not working correctly? I need to know so I can return them this upcoming weekend if they are faulty.

These could be the most obvious questions in the world but I dont have any n64 cibs and i would like to get all my favorite games for the system complete. I dont really remember what the boxes were like and stuff. Was there a cart holder built into the box? or was it just like that with certain titles or versions? or did all the boxes come with seperate pull out cart trays? also Why exactly do alot of the games have 2 different kind of manuals. like the yellow version with the n64 in the background and just the title, then the full color with a full front picture. Were the color ones like best seller version or something? how did it go? thanks!

Alright. So I've had this game for a while, and I'll try once in a while to clean it again, and it just seems uncleanable. I've even bought the security bit off of eBay to be able to clean it easier. However, every time I put it back together and back into the system, I get a steady gray screen.

What I've tried:

-Rubbing Alchohol

-Green Scrubby Pad thing

-Eraser

Nothing seems to work. Have you guys run in to games that are just fated to never work again? If it helps, I can take a picture of the contacts.

Thanks!
