A bit of research on Myriad 6-in-1...

Following are several Usenet posts to rec.games.video.classic when the sealed batch of Myriad 6-in-1's were uncovered.

Subject: Attn NES collectors!
I have discovered a SMALL number of 6-in-1 multicarts for the NES.
They are new and still shrinkwrapped. They are amde by Myriad Games,
but are identical to the 6-in-1 from Caltron, which is listed in Mike
Etler's rarity list as ER. I have no idea if this is a pirate item,
but it certainly is unlicensed.
I do not collect for the NES, so I'd like to sell them. Make me an
offer, as I have no idea what these are worth. (But any offer less
than $25 would not be worth it. I'd rather keep them in my collection
than not make a profit.) Trades will be considered, but will have to
be pretty great for me to pass on a good cash offer. (I am most
interested in items for the 5200, Vectrex, TG-16, Jaguar, and Lynx;
though I do collect for nearly all classic systems and an unusual item
for any other platform may also appeal to me. Pre-NES video game
magazines are also excellent trade bait.)

smed...@gte.net (Dan Mazurowski) babbled on endlessly about:

I hate to follow up my own post, but I have a little more info to add.
Curiosity got the better of me, and I opened one of the boxes. Here's
what I found out. Apparently, these ARE Caltron 6-in-1 carts, but
re-packaged by a new ditributor. The cart sleeve (cardboard) is
labeled CALTRON IND. INC. Also, the cart label (blue writing on white)
has been pasted over a brown and black label - perhaps that was the
original Caltron label? One last detail - both the box and the cart
label feature a serial number printed in red. (The number on the cart
I opened is 000489.)
Here is the list of games:
Cosmos Cop
Magic Carpet 1001
Balloon Monster
Bookyman
Adam & Eve
Porter

Subject: 6-in-1 Multicarts - blind auction
As many of you have already read, a few days back I uncovered a small
stash of Six In One carts for the NES. These are the Caltron 6-in-1
carts listed on the rarity list as ER, repackaged for distribution by
Myriad games. They are still shrinkwrapped, though some have small
tears in the wrap.
Since I first posted about this find yesterday, I have been getting a
lot of offers, mostly for trades. Problem is, I really gotta have some
cash. So I am having a blind auction. No silly updates, no "going
once, going twice" bidding wars. All bids will be kept secret. Just
send me a bid ($25 minimum), and on July 8th I will notify the highest
bidders that they won. Bid on more than one if you want. Feel free to
send any questions or comments you may have. If any carts remain in my
possession afterwards, they become trade fodder for future deals.

Just a reminder to everyone out there that I have decided to put these
ER 6-in-1 carts up for sale in a blind auction. Send your "sealed" bid
($25 minimum) to me via e-mail. I have received MANY trade offers -
more offers than I have carts! But cash must take precedence for me
this time (I hate being broke) so no trades will be considered until
after the auction ends on July 8th. At that time, if I have any carts
left unsold, I will go over the trade offers I have received and
consider them.

For those interested in my Myriad/Caltron 6-in-1 carts, you only have
two more days to enter your bids in my blind auction. No bids will be
accepted after Tuesday, July 8th.
And for those who may be wondering, these are not, repeat, NOT pirate
multicarts. These are legitimatly manufactured games, even though they
were not licensed or manufactured by Nintendo.

These are scarcer (sp?) than Tengen Tetris!
Today (July 8th) is the LAST DAY to bid in my blind auction for my
Myriad Games / Caltron Six-in-One carts. These are NOT pirate games,
these games are all original titles from Caltron, in a cart desiugned
by Caltron. That's right, this is not a licensed Nintendo product. An
excellent item for any NES collector - when was the last time you saw
one of these available? Who knows when any will surface again! E-mail
me with your bids now!
When I check my mail tomorrow morning, the auction is OVER.
